ClearLead Consulting was engaged by Airports International Group to carry out an energy audit of Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan, in support of AIG's application to have QAIA accredited to Level 2 under the Airports Council International's Airport Carbon Accreditation scheme.  QAIA has been exanded and features an iconic new terminal building designed by Foster and Partners.

The energy audit was carried out over a period of a week, early in 2015, and identified a range of potential energy saving measures.  Recommended actions included advice on optimisation of the energy systems in the new Terminal Building, replacement and upgrading of equipment and controls in older parts of the Airport site, and incorporation of renewable energy technologies where cost effective.

The Energy Audit findings were then incorporated into the Airport's Carbon Management Plan, which was then presented to the Senior Management Team of AIG in a follow-up visit.
